Be careful before you hire a company recommended by your insurance company

The worst thing in the world is to accept a company that your insurance company recommends.

Here are a couple things you should ask before hiring a contractor from your insurance company:

  1. What are you drying procedures?  Stay away from people that wants to rip out your walls and cabinets immediately/ you should wait until the next day to see if the walls and cabinets are drying property
  2. Do you have a price list? how much is this really costing you
  3. Are all of your techs I ICRC certified?  Who cares if the owners are certified you want all tech certified

Are there any decent contractors out there? The best way to find them is search online and read there reviews or visit the IICRC web site to find them.

Remember, you have the rights to hire a contractor of your choice.
